Regency Electric Project Gallery

Jacksonville Performing Arts Center

This project comprised the total renovation of the existing auditorium and adjacent theater. The exhibit hall was demolished and replaced with a new concert hall. All areas received modern acoustic treatment finishes, as well as state-of-the-art-sound reinforcement and lighting control systems. All transformers and rotating equipment were mounted on vibration isolators to preserve the acoustic environment. Acoustic sealant was applied to all penetration through non-rated walls. After completion, the acoustics consultant measured sound and noise levels in all performance areas and verified that the finished product exceeded specifications. The facility is powered by a 4,000-amp service, fed by a spot network provided by the Jacksonville Electric Authority, in the basement of the building. A 600 KW generator provides standby emergency power for life safety systems, elevators, and emergency and egress lighting.
